The cat family can be divided into 3 groups. The smallest of them consists of only one species of cheetahs. 2 major groups of cats are big cats (lions and tigers) and small cats (domestic cats, Libyan wildcat, Puma, cat-fishing, jungle cat, Pallas ' cat, lynx, long-tailed cat, ocelot, sand cat and Serval). Some cats are medium in size (such as the clouded leopard) cannot be wholly attributed neither to large nor to small. Zoologists are still arguing about which categories to include.
