WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT VITAMINS?

That vitamins are helpful, knows every modern man. But, what is the vitamin that is "responsible"?

Vitamin a is beneficial to the eyesight, increases the body's resistance. This vitamin rich fat liver of some animals and fish, and eggs. It contains milk, butter. In some plant foods is carotene, which the body turns into vitamin A. Carotene is absorbed by the body only if the vegetables in which it is contained, is used together with fats.

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) increases the body's resistance to colds, helps strengthen teeth, bones and blood vessels. Sources of vitamin C are cabbage, onions, sweet peppers, eggplant, potatoes, sorrel, currant, mountain ash, rose, cranberry, cranberries, gooseberries, citrus.

Vitamin D is required in large quantities for the growth of the body, especially bones and teeth. Vitamin D promotes the absorption of calcium and phosphorus that enter the blood stream, and then deposited in growing bones. The lack of this vitamin causes the disease called rickets, which is manifested in the softening and bending of bones, bad teeth, weakened muscles and ligaments. B vitamins play for the human body an important role. They stimulate the defense system during stress, various diseases and injuries. Lack of them can have a negative impact on health.
