BOMBING

After said becomes clear how difficult the task of a military pilot, tasked to drop a bomb on a certain place; he has to take into account the speed of the aircraft, and the influence of the air on the falling body and also the wind speed. The figure schematically presents the various ways described dropped a bomb under certain conditions. If there is no wind, bomb lies on the curve AF; why do so - we explained above. With a fair wind bomb carries forward and it moves. the curve AD. With a head wind of moderate strength bomb falls on the curve AD, if the wind above and below the same;and if, as often happens, the wind down has the opposite direction to the upper wind (above counter, bottom - associated), the curve of the drop changes its shape and takes the shape of the line AE.

The path of falling bombs dropped from an airplane. AF - in calm weather; HELL - with a fair wind, AD - with a head wind, AE - wind, counter top and passing below.
