Sauropods are the largest land animals that ever existed on Earth. Lived during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. They were massive, but relatively short torso; legs similar to columns, long neck and tail, a small head. In these animals was unique structure of the skeleton: spine resembled the design openwork steel bridge, but it was pretty light and durable.
Heavy aeronomie the sauropods had spent a lot of effort to move his massive body on land. Obviously, the movement of many of them had to keep the legs fully straightened. The body was so massive that the bones might crack under the enormous weight, if a bit bent.
The length of the neck of sauropods was 2 to 3 times more neck modern giraffe.
