Redstart bird, the tail of which as if lit. Therefore it is easy to notice: sitting on the green line and podmahivat bright red tail with black stripes. This distinctive coloring is a special signal: "I'm here! I'm here!"
Redstart nests in hollows or in other enclosed areas of mixed and deciduous forests, in parks and gardens. Winter in Africa, the British Isles, in Europe and in Siberia, the Caucasus and Iran and Iraq. Wintering leave only at the end of March, but fly pretty fast and at the end of April appear in areas of its nesting in deciduous and coniferous forests.
The nest is occupied with all sorts of hollows in tree trunks, under piles of fallen trees, cavities under tree roots or shrubs, shallow caves on the cliffs, the place behind the rocks. For the pop Chicks take care of both parents.
With the onset of autumn - in September - capped Redstart begin to fly off to warmer climes. Migration occurs at night. In early October, many Redstarts already reach Africa. Eat Redstart very diverse: beetles, mosquitoes-dolgonozhkami, flies, larvae, butterflies and their caterpillars, bugs, spiders, and at the end of summer berries and seeds of plants.
